We believe that people everywhere, including youth, have the right to generate their own stories, represent themselves, and communicate through media channels. We provide the resources, networks, and platforms needed to get important stories international attention.
Global Video Letters, works in collaboration with local educators, NGO’s, and community groups to provide workshops, curriculum and the support needed to create media that is self-representative, artistic, provocative, and promotes human rights.
Our most common project is the “video letter” project that serves as a community self-portrait and is shared with youth around the world via an online portal.
We empower youth to use film as a creative tool to share and exchange their own stories globally in order to provide an alternative to mainstream media representations, promote human rights and social inclusion, and develop an international community.
